The MSSI program is open to outstanding candidates who hold a Bachelors degree with sufficient technical exposure to information technology as preparation for the core technology courses. MSSI students are expected to have good computer knowledge in computer architecture/networking, programming, data structures, and discrete math. This can be shown through courses and in some cases through working experience and professional certification.

*The Whiting School of Engineering division requires GRE General Test scores for applications to all master’s programs. However, the Department of Computer Science does not review the scores nor do they have any impact on the outcome of the decision during the application review process.

US Citizens and Permanent Residents:
  • Fall Admission – March 1
  • Spring Admission – November 15

US citizens who are interested in applying for either the DoD CySP or SFS Scholarships should complete their application no later than January 9th or January 15th respectively for Fall admission.

International Students:
  • Fall Admission – March 1
  • Spring Admission – September 15
