Xin Jin, an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, won the Best Paper Award at the 15th USENIX Symposium on Networked Systems Design and Implementation.
The paper, “NetChain: Scale-FreeSub-RTTCoordination” presents NetChain, a new approach that provides scale-free sub-RTT coordination in data centers. NetChain exploits recent advances in programmable switches to store data and process queries entirely in the network data plane.
