Computer Scientists Mathias Unberath and Ali Madooei have received the Joel Dean Excellence in Teaching Award.

Mathias Unberath is an assistant professor of computer science at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. He also has affiliations with the Laboratory for Computational Sensing and Robotics.

 

Ali Madooei, is a lecturer of computer science at Johns Hopkins University at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering.

The award is given to graduate students and faculty who have exhibited extraordinary performance in teaching undergraduates.

 

It was initiated by Joel and Monia Dean with the objective of promoting excellence in undergraduate education at the Krieger School and funded by the Joel Dean Foundation created by Professor Dean in 1957.
