SUMMARY:Computer Science Faculty Research Panel
DESCRIPTION:Faculty will present on their own research and areas of specialty and answer questions you might have on how to apply your degree to the broader world of computer science\, at Hopkins and beyond. \nZoom link » \nLearn more about the faculty presenting: \nRoy Adams\n\nRoy Adams is an assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences with secondary appointments in Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics and Data Science. His research focuses on the development of computational methods for observational health data and the application of these methods to mental health and psychiatry. \nZih-Yun “Sarah” Chiu\n\nZih-Yun “Sarah” Chiu is an assistant professor of computer science and a member of the Johns Hopkins Data Science and AI Institute (DSAI). Her research goal is to develop the next generation of intelligent robots that can see\, plan\, move\, and learn with the expertise of skilled medical professionals. \nKristina Gligorić\n\nKristina Gligorić is an assistant professor of computer science and a member of the DSAI\, working at the intersection of computational social science and natural language processing. Her current research focuses on developing and applying large language model methods to understand\, simulate\, and change human behavior. \nYaxing Yao\nYaxing Yao is an assistant professor of computer science\, the director of the Hopkins Privacy and Security Lab\, and a member of the DSAI. His research lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction\, privacy and security\, and AI\, covering various technological contexts and user groups\, including at-risk populations.
