Xin Jin, an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, won best paper award at the 15th annual USENIX on Networked Systems Design and Implementation Symposium. The paper, “NetChain: Scale-FreeSub-RTTCoordination” presents NetChain, a new approach that provides scale-free sub-RTT coordination in datacenters. NetChain exploits recent advances in programmable switches to store data and process queries entirely in the network data plane. To learn more about his research, click here.
