Professor Joanne Selinski has been selected as this year’s winner of the Robert B. Pond, Sr. Excellence in Teaching Award for outstanding undergraduate teaching. The award was presented to Dr. Selinski at the annual Whiting School of Engineering Convocation Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 8, 2017, 3:00 p.m. in Shriver Hall, JHU Homewood Campus.

This award is given for commitment to and excellence in instruction in the Whiting School of Engineering, success in instilling the desire to learn, and dedication to undergraduate students.

Dr. Selinksi is the Director of Undergraduate Studies and an Associate Teaching Professor in the CS department. She earned her bachelor’s (’84) in mathematics from Chestnut Hill College, and both her master’s (’86) and Ph.D. (’96) in computer science from Johns Hopkins.
