2016 UPE Initiates On May 4, 2016, The Johns Hopkins University Chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE), held an intimate initiation ceremony to induct 14 new members in to its international honor society. UPE is dedicated to the discipline of computer information systems and computer science. The Hopkins chapter, advised by JHU Computer Scientists Joanne Selinski and Scott Smith, has 20 active graduates and undergraduate members.

UPE invites all interested computer science students to apply for membership. Candidates who have demonstrated both academic excellence and merit are considered for membership. Alumni members of the Hopkins UPE chapter enjoy successful careers at Cornell University, University of Pennsylvania, Lyft, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Amazon.
