ACL-2000 PUBLICITY (Keh-Yih Su and Steven Krauwer)

I itemize the activities that we have done (with Steven) for publicity 
affair as follows for your reference.

1. Proposed the  action-plan for the publicity affair in April . 
Unfortunately, most of those action items cannot be executed according to 
the schedule due to lacking of necessary information.

2. Discussed with Priscilla about whether it is worth to have the poster and 
put the advertisement on some popular magazines. The conclusion was that it 
would be more effective to use email-lists.

3. Discussed with Dr. Iida about what we should do at both AACL-2000 and 
Coling-2000.

4. Announced ACL-2000 news in ROCLING newsletter (the newsletter of the 
Society of Computational Linguistics in Taiwan).

5. Wrote the draft version (by Steven) of "Call for Participation". However, 
this copy was not finalized and put in the usage as the reason stated in the 
attached emails.
