June 20th 2005, a Monday afternoon, I was walking back home from school. A
little kitten jumped out from the side bushes, dashed to a nearby apartment
window and began to tease a big cat sitting inside the window. The
big cat was three times bigger than the kitten, but the kitten was so fearless and
almost drove the big cat away from the window. I was so amused by the kitten and
stopped to see if I could give her a little pet. The kitten came to me and began to
purr loudly. I soon found that she
was extremely
skinny. I felt every rib and every disc of her spine. I thought she
must be lost. I decided to take her home and tried to find her owner. I
didn't want to let her spend the night outside.
I brought the kitten home and prepared the bedroom for her to stay. My older cat Tin Tin was so curious
about the new comer and sat outside the bedroom. Even with the bedroom
door shut, the kitten tried to threat Tin Tin with her loudest hisses. In the bedroom, I took
the first picture of the lovely kitten. She had white feet and little pink paws.
A little bit orange color made her face so adorable.
Later that day, I posted some "Kitty Found" notes with her picture around the
place I found her, hoping that her owner would contact me soon.
