About Me

I am a PhD student in the Computer Science Department at Johns Hopkins University. I have been working in the Laboratory for Computational Sensing and Robotics (LCSR) since 2010 under the supervision of Prof. Peter Kazanzides and Prof. Russell Taylor.

I received my Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering(2009) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering(2010) from Middle East Technical University, Turkey.

As a senior PhD student in LCSR, I have been working in a very competitive and interdisciplinary environment which required me to handle problems from all related fields of robotics and maintain flexibility within a demanding schedule. In my research, I have been involved in studies from various fields of robotics such as: sensor fusion algorithms for electromagnetic tracking systems, elastography with a snake-like robot, and robotically assisted image-guided radiation therapy.
