SPAA 2002 will be held at the Delta Winnipeg Hotel , in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. For reservations call 1-800-268-1133.

  • Standard rates
    The rooms are $122/night Canadian for double or single occupancy. These rates are valid from Thursday, August 8 through Thursday August 15. The standard room has two queen-size beds or one king-size.

  • Signature club: Rate $152 CAN.
    For extra $30 CAN. you will get a room with luxurious amenities including bathrobes, concierge service and complimentary local phone calls. You will get accesss to the fax machine and a small office area. It is on the top floor, access is with exclusive guest key. Very private. Cozy lounge featuring Continental Breakfast in the morning and Hors d'oeuvres (complimentary beer and wine) in the evening.

    There's a lot to do in Winnipeg, including the Folklorama festival, going on during the conference. Check out the "things to do" from the Winnipeg tourism page. Consider a trip to the white-sand beaches at nearby Grand Beach. Our local arrangement chairs visited Grand Beach in the summer of 2001 (here's proof), so they can give you a review from personal experience.
