FAQ's about the course
Q: What is the workload like?
A: Based on surveys, the workload is slightly above average.
Q: What is the different between 321 and 421?
A: Not a lot. The assignments will be very similar.
More will be expected of a 421 project, particularly in terms of use
of advanced (Java) features. Project groups must consist
entirely 321 or entirely 421 students unless explictly approved by
the professor.
Q: What is the easiest way to reach the prof or TA?
A: Post any and all questions on the course forum,
unless is necessarily private. See the contact
information for email and office hours.
Q: What is the penalty for late assignments?
A: Late assignment policies are set by the head TA so
send them an email.
Q: Your on-line lecture notes are missing / keep
changing!
A: Lecture notes on a particular topic may not appear
until a topic is started, and will change
until that topic is completed. It is suggested that you not
print out a section of notes until that topic is completed in
lecture. Notes under construction will be so marked.
