The aim of the club is to have a reading group
in which students can get familiar with major results presented in the
top conferences in the area of theoretical computer science,
such as:
ACM Symposium on Theory of Computing (STOC)
IEEE Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science (FOCS)
ACM-SIAM Symposium on Discrete Algorithms (SODA)
Depending on the interest, the scope of the club may also
include meetings
in which students can present and discuss own solutions to
theoretical problems, and in which unsolved problems are attacked,
and/or
in which researchers from outside the university present their
recent results.
