| January 18th, 1979 | 12 pm | Renosham is summoned to Hell for a discussion with Kronos, in which he visits the Lowest Stacks, receives three birthday gifts, and meets Yves. When he returns to Earth, 20 years have passed. |
| Tuesday, January 18th | 3 pm | Jaakobah is interrupted during a sale by a trio of Malakim, who inform him that he is to report to Prince Kobal regarding a final assignment. To prevent assassination attempts, one of these Malakim accompanies him to the hut of Seneschal Samangaluf. |
| 4 pm | Jaakobah arrives at the hut/Tether, chitchats with Samangaluf, and then goes below to talk to Kobal. Kobal explains that the mother of the next Savior is missing. Jake is ordered to find her so that Kobal may impregnate her before God gets there. | 4:30 pm | Jaakobah returns to Earth, finding Samangaluf dead and the Malakite gone. He gets in his truck and drives off to pursue his mission. | 5 pm | Belial's Tether in Westwater, Mississippi, goes up in flames. The Seneschal is flash- fried. Various demons inside burn, unable to escape into Hell. Anaharath, Habbalite of Fire, makes a daring escape through a fourth-floor plexiglass window. On the ground, as the Tether and its building collapses in a contained inferno, she calls her boss. Belial ignores the Tether's destruction, instead leading her off and explaining to her that she is the destined midwife for the second Savior or possibly the second coming of the Savior; she is also the one appointed to kill the child when the time is right. He kills various people on the way, notes that she will have to find Mary Olson (the mother of the second Savior, due to meet God on the 29th), feeds her address and such into Anaharath's mind, and gives her a luxury car and money by the simple expedient of killing the owner. He then sends her off to Pleasant Valley. | 5:30 pm | Jaakobah arrives at the house of Mary Olson in the Even Pleasanter housing development in Pleasant Valley, Mississippi. By the mailbox, he is briefly enthralled by a spiky snail and its undead insect slaves, but escapes into Mary's house. There, he encounters several interesting relics and talismans. Hearing an angelic voice from inside the house, he ducks out into the backyard to wait. |
| 6 pm | Renosham emerges from his meeting with Kronos and Yves. He experiments with the new female Vessel Yves gave to him, and then goes to the Only Chance Bar for a drink. | |
| 6:30 pm | Jaakobah, hearing nothing further of the angels, goes back into the house to investigate. At this point, he discovers more relics and talismans, evidence of erotic activity, and a hole in the bedsheets that opens onto some place supernaturally cold. He pulls his fingertip back out of the hole and a miniature version of the snail is attached. Jake runs into the bathroom and washes it off. Then he pulls the Glade Plug-In from the wall, suspecting it of being a monster from another dimension. After he snaps the tethers of gray lightning trailing from the plug to the socket, it squeals and the power in the neighborhood dies. He puts it back in, to no avail. | 7 pm | Jake receives a Celestial Tongues from a friend, noting that Malakim are coming up
through Hell Tethers and not playing nice. Jake leaves Mary Olson's house. Anaharath
arrives outside Mary's house, running over the spiky snail. The two explore the house. Renosham's drinking is interrupted by a swarm of Malakim. He discovers that most of the other drinkers in Pleasant Valley's only bar are demons. As Renosham runs for his car, he notices indications that all is not well in Hell. He takes off for safety with two Malakim clinging to his car. |
| 7:15 pm | After recognizing Renosham, the Malakim desert him. His car, shoved sideways by one Malakite's jump into flight, slams into the fence by Mary's house. The three get together and discuss random things. Anaharath fails to seal the rip, but uses a pair of relic boots to kick Jake in several sensitive places. | 7:30 pm | Marsha, a Bearer, comes by Mary Olson's house to deliver Vapula's messiah. Her
intention, she claims, is to make sure Mary does not have to violate her principles
and engage in carnal and demeaning congress with God. (It may, of course, be too late.)
Anaharath, not realizing what the package is and not yet having been told the motive,
offers to accept the package in Mary's stead. Marsha frees Vapula's messiah, a nasty
thing, from inside herself. Gabriel removes Anaharath from the scene. The others rescue themselves as Even Pleasanter and about seventy feet of ground and rock and such underneath it is thrown into the sky in bits and pieces. The car crashes into a tree just outside the affected area. The two demons wait out the worst of the rain of Even Pleasanter bits coming back down. |
| 8:00 pm | Gabriel explains to Anaharath, elsewhere, that Heaven has acknowledged the Habbalah as a Choir, but that those who fell too far into horror in their time in Hell will be culled. The Archangel, who has not yet chosen Anaharath's fate, begins the process of judgment. | |
| 8:20 pm | Anaharath is judged, sentenced, and admitted to Heaven. She arranges to have a Heart made and then returns to Earth. | |
| 8:30 pm | Vapula's messiah, in Even Pleasanter, cries out desperately for help. Jake and Rena begin the long walk into town to get a drink. | |
| 9:30 pm | Anaharath returns to Earth, retrieves Eli's jacket, and battles a monster. Or runs from one, anyway. She is knocked spinning into elsewhere. | |
| 10:00 pm | Jake and Rena arrive in the Only Chance Bar and begin drinking. | |
| Wednesday, January 26th | 8:15 pm | Lilith puts Jaakobah on bartime. 8 days pass while the drinks keep coming. Anaharath's arrival puts things back on normal time; she has, evidently, been dealing with Meserach during this period, but any useful information obtained therefrom goes away when Anaharath's consciousness catapults into the present from her monster-encounter. Rena went into the bathroom some time ago and did not return. In any case, Anaharath and Jake go to leave, causing Lilith to make a play for Jake's Mark and his soul. Marc brokers the deal, but takes Jake's soul into escrow for 7 days, which may make things difficult for Lilith. The PCs do not know yet about the time shift, but will probably find out quickly enough. |
