She also spent two summers (1995 and 1996) in the wireless communication research department at Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies. While at Bell Laboratories, Qinqing worked on performance analysis, algorithm and protocol design, architecture and system design of wireless and wireline networks. She was a key technical contributor to 3G/4G wireless standards (both 3GPP and 3GPP2), and a project leader of various product teams at Alcatel-Lucent Technologies. She has more than 30 awarded and pending US and international patent applications in the area of radio resource management, media access and radio link control, Ethernet and IP networking. A partial list of past projects: · Ethernet Backhaul Transport Design · Robust Header Compression (RoHC) Algorithms Design for VoIP and Video Telephony · QoS Control and Radio Resource Management in 3G Wireless Communication Systems · Performance Analysis and Traffic Engineering for Wireless Access Network and Wireline Core Network · Radio Link Control and Medium Access Control in Wireless Communication Networks · Air Interface Capacity and Coverage Analysis · Lucent Soft Switch QoS Strategies and Call Admission Control |
