Biography
All kinds of biographical information.
Concise-ish
I received my undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Munich University of Applied Sciences, Germany in 1997 with a thesis on possible extensions of the programming language Oberon; my advisor was Prof. Dr. Klaus Köhler. I received my PhD in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine in 2003 with a thesis on Component-Oriented Programming Languages; my advisor was Prof. Dr. Michael Franz.
From Fall 2002 to Spring 2005 I was a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, Riverside where I regularly taught upper-division courses in software engineering, programming languages, and compiler design.
