In 2004 I competed in Micromouse contest at Techfest at IIT Powai which involved developing 10K+ lines of assembly code and it worked well. We didn't win but most of heart warming thing was that we did it even after being denied support by many labs and discouraged from competing. The component were built from spare bike parts and built with support from local bike and radio shops :). The best thing was it encouraged my fellow collegemates to do similar projects and some of them were successful. It was fun !
