1	1	Dr. Widra is very knowledgeable doctor. I found him by best doctor ratings. During my entire cycle I missed communication with Dr. alot, although the RE was indeed very helpful and always kept me updated about everything. I wanted same doctor to handle my case during the entire treatment cycle, whereas I was always seen by different doctors as per their availability. Insurance:Aetna	4	3	4	4
1	1	Dr. Widra and the DC location staff were wonderful. Front desk staff was cheerful and helpful, nursing staff was warm and accommodating. Dr. Widra is very knowledgeable, has a calm and confident personality, and never makes me feel rushed. One of my big concerns with doctor's offices is a lack of communication. Dr. Widra was kind enough to point out that this issue is often inherit, simply because of the type of service I was receiving. He offered to chat or touch base with me any time I was feeling out of touch with the office or had any concerns. Wonderful! Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield 5/26/10	4	4	4
1	-1	I called him when I started spoting after a positive home pregnancy test. I asked him whether I could come for an early blood test to confirm my pregnancy. First he refused the blood test claiming that it would provide no useful information and then reluctantly agreed after I insisted on it. His recommendation was not consitent with that of his colleague, who called me for a blood test right away during my first pregnancy that ended in an early miscarriage. I think he was almost rude with me and not sympathetic at all to my situation. I find his approach completely unacceptable given that we, as patients, are already under a lot of stress and financial hardship given the hefty cost of the infertility treatment and the last thing we need during the entire process is an unsympathetic, arrogant treatment by the very people WE HIRE to treat us. 1	3	1	1

2	1	Dr. Wade is one of the best doctors that I have ever had. I went to him for 15 years and he is the most competent, compassionate physician ever and I am a very needy patient. He never became upset or impatient with me for calling him with concerns at any time of day. He has a gift of caring from God. I wish that I knew where he was practicing. I have been searching for him as well. Please post if you have any information. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	2	3	5	5
2	1	Very Good Doctor and I too need his new information ...mmyers_1957@yahoo.com Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	3	3	5	5
2	1	Does anyone know if dr wade is seeing patients anymore, I have been looking for his new number, i heard hes practicing in washington dc but the number I have it just rings, I think he was a great doctor very caring, so if anyone can possibly get me this number and the address and if he is still practicing I would greatly appreciate it, thanks so much and hope to hear something soon 5	5	5	5
2	0	If you'd like to wait and have nothing to do ( w/c defeats the purpose of making an appt. ) then see him. Staff is incompetent and can barely spell or remember you as a patient no matter how many times you call. Voicemail is always full. answers his pager while you are in consult with him. I don't think I will recommend him Insurance:United Healthcare	2	2	3	3
2	1	I have been treated by both Dr. Wade and Dr. Lloyd over the past 8 years. The are both excellent medical professionals. Dr. Wade will listen to your issues and concerns and address them individually. He never rushes you out of his office when you have a problem and he doesn't let you tell him how to diagnose you. If you want to diagnose yourself or manipulate a doctor into doing what you want him to do, then don't go to him. If you want a doctor that is looking for the best solution, then yes, he is the doctor to see. I appreciate a doctor that will see me when I am running a fever or my child is throwing up and didn't make an appointment before showing up in his office. He always makes time for patients when they really need his help. Insurance:United Healthcare	3	4	5	5
2	1	He's a great doctor very knowledgeable,very careing . but I'm becoming concern becauese of the disorganization of his office Insurance:Aetna	1	5	5	5
2	1	This used to be a premiere doctors office, when Dr. Lloyd was here. But since her untimely disappearance, service has declined. I agree with most of the negative posts here; there voicemail is always full, they don't return calls and when you visit in person the staff seems high on something. They just don't know what to do. 1	1	3	4
2	1	this doctor is ver caring qand respectful with his patients.. He spends a good amount of time with each patient getting an idea of what they have been thru and are going thru. He takes into consideration everything u say and does what he can to get u where u need to be with x-rays scans and other doctors if need be. Insurance:Anthem	2	3	3	5
2	1	Excellent doctor. He takes time to listen to your issues. Very caring. 4	5	5	5
2	1	This one of the best doctors I have ever seen. I have no idea what they mean by a long wait, but for the service you recieve, I would think it is worth it. He never lets me leeave unless I tell him every little thing aling me. Insurance:Aetna	3	3	5	4
2	1	My daughter and I have gone to Dr. Wade for 11 years .We have been trough many problems he has found . One I did not think a thing of ! He wa VEry concerned about it . It ended up to be P.A.D. If he had not stressed how very important it was for me to go to a certaint Dr. and have 3 tests done A.S.S.P. I do not know where I would be . The arteries in to my legs were blocked 90 % .I now have stents . on one side they are 4 inch's long on the other 6 1/2 inches long . Since he found them he is on top of my blood work and medication all the time .I also need 2 knee's replaced after 9 surgery's on them , I really do not want to go through that now . He works with my medication and always knows when I have torn something . This is just me , I could go on and on about my daughter . I believe this alone makes it clear where I stand Insurance:Anthem	3	2	5	5
2	0	The waiting is really long. The voicemail is always full. He will not take your concerns in consideration. He acts like he knows it all not matter how you tell him you feel.AVOID him. Insurance:United Healthcare	3	1	3	3
2	-1	Don't use this doctor, unless you'd like to wait 3+ hours to be seen, be provided medicine without a history taken and have someone who refuses to comply with the contract he signed with the insurance company to perform his duty--if that is what you seek, then he's the one for you. Note, I did not call him a medical professional, because in my humble opinion, he's not. I suffered a completely torn ACL and needed a MRI. He and his incompetent staff lied and said that they submitted paperwork and the holdup was with the insurance co. Not true. The insurance company confirmed they were waiting for him to submit the required paperwork and in the end, went completely around him in order to get the MRI done. If the insurance company asked about my file, he claimed it was in the other office, yet I never filled out any information, so the existence of my chronic illness is not documented. Also you will not be able to leave a message, they NEVER clear the voicemail nor answer any pages. Insurance:United Healthcare	1	1	1	3
3	0	His diagnosis of me was not correct and I got a second opinion. If I had continued with him I would have been on medication unnecessarily. 5	4	3	3
3	1	Surprised by other comments. Dr. Worthing has been quite thorough in my case, consulting with multiple physicians. His follow up has been excellent. I strongly recommend. 5	5	5	5
3	-1	Dr. Worthing is by far and away the worst Rheumatologist I have seen. If a symptom does not OBVIOUSLY fall within the purview of your diagnosis, his response is that he cannot help you and you need to see another doctor. So, I did as he indicated and saw another doctor who told me that my original diagnosis accounted for my symptoms and I just needed to be put on a medication. He then suggested that I find a new Rheumatologist, something he made very clear he rarely tells patients to do. This is one of a few instances over a year period (3 appointments) that led me to find a new doctor. I have had nothing but wonderful Rheumatologists in the past that I have only left because of a move, but this was not one of my better experiences. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	4	4	1	1
3	-1	I felt extremely ignored even though my symptoms were valid. 4	3	1	1
4	1	The office often runs behind schedule. The Capitol Hill office desperately needs renovating/cleaning. The nurses are nice, but some seem underqualified. One of them once failed to take my child's temperature correctly. The doctor felt my child was warm and re-took it, to discover my child did have a fever when the nurse had said she didn't. 2	4	4
5	0	We visited this doctor for an initial consultation for a PCP. All he did was take my blood pressure, which he had to do twice! His nurse had already taken my BP. He also made a list of my medications. I have a serious condition and have had several surgeries, but he did not think to ask to look at my colostomy! He felt my ankles without asking me. I gave him a prepared folder of medical notes related to my medical history which he looked through hurriedly but it was as if it was of minor importance. Finally he told me he would get back to me at a later date about a referral. We shook hands. The whole interview well under 15 minutes. He never called me back, and when I tried to ask his staff they never provided an answer. We felt as if the visit had been a waste of time and money. Also, now he has all this private personal medical information about my operations at his disposal which scares me. 4	4	3	3
6	1	Dr. Wartofsky only sees patients with thyroid cancer. He is THE expert in the Washington area and is among only a handful of nationally-regarded thyroid cancer experts across the country. His knowledge and experience level is unchallenged. If you have cancer, he is your life line. If I left the area, I would travel to see him ... just like dozens of his other patients already do. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	5	5	5
7	1	Very good arm chair manners. I would recommend this dentist to a friend. 5	5	5	5
8	1	I really can't recommend Dr. Walther enough. She's very gentle, uses research-supported techniques. She changed my life. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	5	5	5
9	1	Dr. Wilkerson was my first OB-GYN. She became my friend and the comfort in what I thought was a roller coaster pregnancy. I was just a first time mother who was over excited but she worked with me. Her office visits were informative and I didn't feel rushed. Appointments ran a little late sometimes but even a dr can't predict or plan for mother nature. Babies come when they come, like my son who was almost 2 wks later and my daughter who came on my birthday. Dr. Wilkerson no longer accepts my insurence but it's time for my daughters first OB and I'm thinking about paying out of packet. I highly recommend this dr. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	4	5	4
9	1	DR Wilkerson was my doctor for 13+ yrs and I can honestly say that she was the best ob/gyn doctor I have ever had. She was doing the pap test each year on her patients that tested for cervical cancer 10 years ago. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	5	5	5
9	-1	I went in for a regular ob-gyn examination and was made to wait for 1 hour before I could see the doctor. The examination was excruciatingly painful - she was very rough and remonstrated me for not being relaxed enough, but this pain was really abnormal (I've had several ob-gyn exams before and this was unusual). A few weeks later, I had to go to the ER many times for a urinary tract infection that also turned into a pelvic inflammation. I found out from the ER doctors that the pain in doing the pelvic exam was due to the inflammation which Dr. Wilkerson should have noticed when her exam caused me so much pain. I could have avoided going to the ER if she had diagnosed it appropriately earlier. Also, when asked some basic questions on the relation between diet and feminine issues, she was dismissive and didn't think there was a relation. I researched several medical journals subsequently and found out that she was wrong. I would not recommend going to see this doctor at all. Insurance:Aetna 2	1	1
9	1	The best ob-gyn in the DC area! My wife and I are on our second baby and would NEVER consider anyone else! 5	5	5
9	1	I have been a patient of Dr. Wilkerson 14+ years. Through my years I have always been welcomed well taken care of and provided excellent medical care. Due to moving at one point I had to see another physician. After seeing the other physician I decideded o make the longer drive for Dr. Wilkerson 5	5	5
9	1	Dr. Wilkerson was very helpful during my first pregnancy, addressing my questions and concerns with an open mind and making sure I was comfortable for the delivery. When my delivery turned into an emergency c-section, she was there to talk me through it and help me cope during the aftermath. 4	5	5
10	1	Dr Whitaker is extremely knowledgable and I trust her to be honest and forthright with her care. Insurance:CIGNA	4	5	5	5
10	1	Dr. Whitaker is an extremely knowledgeable doctor I have had for over 20 years. 4	4	5	5
10	1	Dr. Whitaker is the kind of doctor you see when you just know something is wrong. She moves quickly to determine the extent of your medical problem. I wish that I had found her sooner. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	4	5	5	5
10	1	Dr. Whitaker was by far the best OBGYN I have seen (granted I am only 23). She was interested in discussing my menstruation issues with me and explaining her thoughts on what could be causing my problems, instead of just waving off my concerns and handing me a prescription for the pill. My only concern was that she did not seem wholly concerned with my fear of adverse side effects on hormonal contraception, saying that the chances of those effects were so slim that I should not worry about it. Since I needed the hormonal contraception for my condition, I took her word on it. Overall, a very clean, professional, and pleasant office. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	4	4	4	4
10	1	When I first met Dr. Whitaker I thought she was mean and I did not like her at all. As I got to know her I fell in love with her. She is about her business. I never have to wait long, she does move fast BUT always answers all of my questions. She talks to me and explains things as she goes. That is what I call a very good Dr. So if you want a good, on time OB/GYN then I highly recommend Dr. Ellen Whitaker. Someone recommended her as a good doctor and I am recommending others and they are just as satisfied as I am. Good JOB Dr. Whitaker and keep up the good work. Insurance:Medicaid / Medi-Cal	4	5	5	5
10	-1	Dr. Ellen Whitaker is Simply the worst Doctor that I have experienced. She is very un-professional and psycho. I advise any new patient to further network before going to her and for current patients I pray for you... I will never return to her again.... My actual situation is to long to express so just take my word for it... 6/1/09	1	1	1
10	1	Dr. Whitaker has been my GYN for ten years now. I have never had a problem. She is very knowledgeable and punctual. The office is always clean and filled with useful information. Other staff team members make the experience very peaceful. Insurance:Aetna	5	5	5	5
10	0	I've seen her a few times. Fast, efficient, punctual. Haven't experienced any treatment that I'd describe as rude. I do like the fact that she's fast. Insurance:United Healthcare	4	5	3	3
10	1	Dr. Whitaker is by far the best OBGYN that I have ever met! She delivered both of my children in '98 & 2000. Before, during, and after each birth, she was very professional, patient, caring, genuine, knowledgeable, and punctual. The only thing that makes an OBGYN in ANY practice a little short tempered is knowing that the person who has come to you for help, is lying to them. They cannot help you to the fullest extent unless you tell them everything about your history. I didn't have to experience any anger because I didn't lie to her but, I was in the next room to someone who had lied about not having sex within the 6-wk period following childbirth. Why the female would lie to an OBGYN was totally crazy! As soon as she did the pelvic, she already knew that the female had lied because she was already expecting AGAIN! Best advice, be truthful. They are there to help you but, you must help them, to help you. Dr. Whitaker is the best OBGYN & I wouldn't want to have any more babies w/o her. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	5	5	5
10	-1	she rushed patient very much and she assummed everything you told her does not make sense. she does not listen and she is very abrupt when asking her a question. sometimes i kept my questions because the way she will response to the question makes me scared. 4	4	1	2
10	1	I saw Dr. Whitaker for a first time appointment. She was extremely professional, nice and punctual. She was patient and listened to my concerns and gave informative answers. She also was excellent in making me feel comfortable. Her staff was also accomodating. Insurance:Unicare	5	5	5	5
10	1	I agree that she needs to work on her bedside manner, but she is very knowledgeable. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	4	4	3	4
10	1	I like doctor Whitacker. She is very helpful and prompt. I can definitely see what some people say about her being a bit abrupt. I mentioned a fear about one of the medications, and "that's wrong." I think she probably hears a lot of urban myths and falsehoods about birth control, and wants to bang her head against the wall when she hears them repeated back to her. I did not get the sense that she was sensitive to female sexual disfunction as mentioned by one of the previous reviewers , and I think gynos should be sensitive about those issues--especially to refer patients to a specialist. Insurance:CIGNA	4	5	4	5
10	-1	My last visit was really awful with dr whitaker, i left her office crying...she was very angry with me for not wanting to take birth control, even though past visits I explained that I never have sex, which is another one of my problems seeing as I have been with my bf for seven years, she sure didnt seem to care about that problem..then she refused to do hormone tests that my derm requested to see if my acne was hormanal..she said the reason I have cystic acne is becuase i wore too much makeup... Insurance:MAMSI 3	1	3
10	0	Dr. whitaker was abrupt bordering on rude. She made me feel rushed and (I felt) failed to ask basic questions. I had an ultrasound which was very rushed and much less thouroughly done than those I have had in the past. I left feeling unsure as to whether I had been properly examined. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield 3	2	3
10	1	experience was good. you do have to call for your lab results... i got a call months afterward and there was a problem. i would have prefered to know about my abnormal pap smear sooner. 4	4	4
10	1	I went to another GYN (Which will remain nameless) and it was HORRIBLE. After having a sonogram which showed 5 fibroids (two the size of oranges), this other doc says, "Oh everything is okay, nothing to report". I had to tell her to look again and her response was, "let's just watch them". I visited Dr. Whitaker at the Fibroid Center. She was very punctual and quite pleasant. She gave me details on all possible options and made me feel comfortable enough to make a decision that was best for me. I explained my last GYN experience and she indicated that she would be more than happy to perform my surgery. She even encouraged me to "research" her if that would make me more comfortable, I alread had. But what was great was I have had to call her twice since then and I received and IMMEDIATE call back. She did not rush and was quite pleasant. I felt like she was genuinely concerned about me and my anxieties and encouraged me to call her if I had any more questions. I am REALLY impressed. 5	5	5
10	-1	Dr. Whitaker is terrible and uncaring. I had to see her because my usual OB/GYN was booked. In Oct., she practically laughed off my ovarian cysts and the fact that I was taking birth control for them. (My usual OB/GYN was quite concerned about them, because with BC, they were not growing, but they were not getting smaller either.) Dr. Whitaker told me I could stop the BC if I didn't want to take it anymore, because cysts were "normal." She failed to notice the fact that I had the cysts for almost 6 months and were not responding to BC. Turns out, I took her advice and stopped the BC, the cysts grew 2 centimeters on both sides within ONE MONTH. I went back to my usual GYN, who said that I needed surgery ASAP. I ended up having laparoscopic surgery the following March, and it turns out I had endometriosis! I called Dr. Whitaker to tell her, she showed NO concern for the situation, and ALL she said was a very snooty "okay." That's it!! What doc does that! All I can say, my exp. was bad. 4	1	2
10	1	Dr. Whitaker is the best OB/GYN I have EVER been to! I drive an hour out of my way just to see her. She is very good about following up when you have a medical problem and she gives you all the facts to help you make the right decisions regarding contraception and treatments! She and her staff are AWESOME! Insurance:MAMSI 4	5	5
10	1	I chose to go to Dr. Whitaker for my first gynecological appointment. Though it was very traumatic (as it would be for any young woman) she did make it much easier with her pleasantness and conversation. Later, I needed immediate medical attention for something that was outside of her specialization but because my general practioner was booked (and I didn't want to go to an emergency room), she agreed to see me herself and handled the problem. The appointment was outside of her usual schedule and because of traffic I was 15 minutes late. She still helped me and remained pleasant. I give her the best score for the work she's done for me so far. Insurance:Aetna 4	5	5
10	1	These visits can never be pleasant, but she made it as comfortable as possible. Was very informative over her concerns. Not the best with followup on tests however, the ball is always in your court. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield 2	3	4
11	1	I love Dr. Wulf! She has great bedside manner and made me feel extremely comfortable. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	4	3	5	5
11	1	Dr. Wulf-Gutierrez was great. She explained the procedure I was about to have, risks and possible complications with a lot of detail and yet easy for me to understand. She took time to make sure I was very comfortable with everything she was telling me and I have nothing but confidence in Dr. Wulf-Gtierrez. She was simply fantastic. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	2	2	5	5
11	-1	I felt judged and dismissed by Dr. Wulf. Very paternalistic style. 4	3	1	1
11	-1	Dr. Wulf-Gutierrez does NOT listen to patients. She arrives at a conclusion immediately. If you try to suggest otherwise, she says she has 25 years of medical experience, and makes you feel bad. Horrible listener, non-sympathtic, pushy. When I tried to explain pain I was experiencing, she said it was all in my head. And it was impossible to feel pain there. Then tried to convince me I might be experiencing depression. She actually said "sometimes women confuse pain with insecurity or unhappiness with your life or partner." (Not the case for me) Then she insisted I must be experiencing depression, and suggested counseling. I left the office crying. It is stunning that she takes pain or depression (both real problems) so lightly. Another doctor diagnosed the problem in minutes, and helped me treat it. Front office staff is rude, loud, and ALWAYS running late. Typically 30-45 minutes behind. They yell out names, medications, even symptoms for all to hear. Other obgyns at GWUH are better! Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	2	1	1	2
11	1	She was very nice and did not seem rushed at all. I was in for a colposcopy and she explained the procedure and made me feel at ease. We had easy conversation and I also felt I could ask her questions. She followed up with my results. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Insurance:United Healthcare	5	5	5	5
11	-1	She was too busy to listen. At my annual appointment, I tried to talk to her about some pain I was having. She told me to schedule another appointment because she couldn't "do specifics" during annual paps. I scheduled the next appointment, and she wouldn't stop to listen to the whole problem. She suggested several prescriptions before she even examined me. Then she told me I could talk to her nurse some more if I wanted but she had "lots of people to see today." 2	1	1	1
11	-1	WORST EVER! She is too busy for patients, doesn't listen, doesn't care. Most recently, when dealing with recurring pain, she kept insisting she had "never heard a woman complain of that kind pain in all her years as a doctor." Then when I became upset, she suggested I was dealing with depression or anxiety, and very patronizingly told me that could cause pain sometimes. Another doctor found the cyst she missed entirely! Don't go here! Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	2	1	1	3
12	1	He was excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Wagman. 5	5	5	5
12	0	Left his service after a number of years. What I liked about him initially--accessibiltiy, openness, knowledge--became increasingly problematic as he grew older and became defensive when asked questions, as if he was being attacked. BUT he did very well with actual medical procedures. He occasionally dispensed incorrect information and became clearly annoyed when corrected. He also began to rely more and more on his staff to take over dealing with patients. 5	5	2	3

13	1	This doctor is a superb retina specialist and surgeon at Georgetown University Hospital in the PHC building. He saved my eyesight by carefully treating me with a laser for diabetic eye disease. I can not rate him highly enough! Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	5	5	5
14	1	Dr. Ward is the best Dr. in his practice though it is very difficult to get an appointment with him. The wait is usually several weeks and around three months for a physical. His associate, Dr. Stearn, is very critical, even rude, to patients - I have heard patients discussing this in the waiting room - and I have had the uncomfortable experience of being seen by him once. The weakest link in the practice is the PA John Curtin. He is very congenial and helpful but his knowledge of certain medical conditions seems lacking. I have actually watched him look up medical conditions on line to explain them to me. He is fine for general problems but make certain you are refered to a specialist for a second opinion if a condition might be more serious. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	3	5	4	4
15	-1	I have to say that i been with Dr. Washington for over 4 years now. I feel like it is a waste of my time and money because she don't guide you in the right direction. I am doing all the talking while she sits there and take notes. I am always on time never late but she is always late especially if she have a client that is ahead of me. I must say that i had to wait 10 extra minutes but my session always cut short. I think that is very disrespectful not starting on time. i need to find another Therapist. 1	1	1	1
15	0	Wow. I should have read these before I spent three months with Dr.Washington. Everything mentioned here is to the tee. She seems very in it for the money and has no qualms about charging you $150 for 20 min sessions. It is slightly deceptive to because the documents you receive state that sessions can be from 1 hr - 45 mins. I never have a 1 hour session. Also she does not provide directed advice. In my experience I repeatedly asked her for advice on the topic at hand and she was not able to speak directly. She has cut sessions off because of time. Even if her next client hadn't arrived. She needs to work on her bedside manners. Would not recommned. Insurance:CIGNA	2	2	3	2
15	1	She is an amazing therapist! I recommend her to anyone wanting to make behavioral changes! Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	4	4	5	5
15	1	It has been almost three years with Dr. Washington and I feel like she understands me like none other. I never have to repeat to her what's going on in my life. It's like talking to an Aunt who is understanding to what you're going through and contributes her wisdom and knowledge. I've grown very fond of Dr. Washington. There is no such thing as cured...but i'm making better decisions in my personal life. Now our sessions are more me talking and her listening which is fine. Sometimes you just want to vent to someone you know won't gossip. Insurance:United Healthcare	3	3	5	4
15	1	I have been seeing Dr. Washington for over a year. She is a very good therapist and she has given me some positive feedback. I feel very comfortable discussing my depression with her. I am a quiet person that keeps my feelings to myself but when i meet with her, i feel free to discuss anything i want. My apptment was at 9:15 a.m. and i saw her at 9:30 a.m. and my therapy was over at 10:00 a.m. I was a little disappointed because her 10:00 a.m. patient was there on time and I am always on time never late. Overall, I do not think she is in it for the money.. at least i never felt that way. i would definately recommend her. Insurance:Aetna 7/21/10	3	3	5
15	1	Dr. Washington has a talent for making keen insights on what the real issue is in your life. Sometimes I disagree with her on issues of sexuality (she doesn't seem to want me to be gay for some reason and whenever I bring it up, she is quick to move past the subject). I also disagree with her on other things, but this is good. These are therapists and their words are not law. She has been very adept at pointing out the real issues and helping to find new ways to perceive the problems in one's life. I don't think she's just in it for the money, on the contrary, she seems genuinely interested in my success. I give her an A. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	5	4	5
15	1	I think Dr. Washington is a kind and excellent therapist. In my 6 weeks working with her, so far, she has offered my wonderful insight, and suggested good books, and left me feeling more positive about my life, but also willing/able to work on the aspects that require work. I would highly recommend her... Insurance:United Healthcare	1	3	5	5
15	1	I agree with everyone that Dr. Washington's ability to start appts on time can be frustrating. But overall my experience with her has been extremely helpful and my life reflects it. I like that she doesn't attempt to tell me what to do. She allows me to share and then based upon those things draw a conclusion of repeated behaviors or negative reactions. I'm a much stronger person now. I have more authority over the course of my life and I'm happy!! Through the things I've gained working with her I have a new, healthy, HAPPY relationship. If you are dissatisfied with her punctuality let her know. She will make the necessary accommodations. Insurance:United Healthcare	4	2	4	4
15	0	I must say that she does offer some interesting points when dealing with the problems and gives you plently to read, however I feel that she is only in it for the money. There have been times when I have cancelled my appointments and she still billed my insurance company and still asked me to pay the copay. This doesn't seem correct to me, how do you bill the insurance for a session that never occured. When I have been late she has ended my session on time, but when she has been late she still ended my session on time, again this doesn't seem fair to me. She has answered her cell phone during my sessions, I really would not recommend Dr. Washington to anyone, she truly is in it for the money. Insurance:Kaiser-Permanente	3	1	1	4
15	1	It took a while for Dr. Washington to grow on me. I too noticed herlooking at the clock. Also, she would sometimes start our sessions late but ended them at the usual time. It bothered me that she didn't seem interested in getting into really deep self-analysis (I'm very self-analytical) and I was the one who had to keep the conversation going. If I didn't say anything, there would just be silence. But then I discovered that I actually was feeling better after our sessions, more confident, more upbeat, more ready to make changes in my life. I'm not sure if it was because of her specifically or just from talking to someone in general about my problems. She does offer interesting insights but I wished she would offer more PRACTICAL solutions. Or maybe that is just my wishful thinking. In any case, she recommended a wonderful book on self-esteem that has given me great insight into my issues of low self-esteem and how to work on them. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	3	4	4	4
15	1	Ive been seeing Dr. Washington for two years. For my first visit she was booked solid but came in on a Saturday at 7am just to meet with me. I was suffering from deep depression and she was there for me. She did recommend a lot of books - not all of them that I read but it did help. I can see where (at least in the begining) the checking the clock behind you can seem rude but honestly I think that in depression things are magnified as well as she is on a schedhule. These are cues to let you know to "wrap it up" not because she doesnt care but because she has to stay on schedhule. She has been very helpful and even on several occasions when I couldnt make an in office visit she did my visit over the phone. She is very helpful and it isnt her job to find the answers for you but to help you find the answer. I would highly recommend her and in fact I have. This is the happiest I have been in my life and I owe a big part of it to our sessions together. Insurance:United Healthcare	5	5	5	5
15	0	I am new to the area and found Dr Washington on my insurance. The address listed for her business is incorrect as the office moved over a YEAR ago and she still has not changed it. They sent me on a goose chase to find the office. Anyhow, I don't feel like she offers any sort of significant advice or reasoning as to why things are the way they are. She tells me what I'm feeling is natural, I am very rational, and things will take time. I was happy to see that she gave me a homework assignment between my fist and second sessions. I put A LOT of time in and when I returned the second time she just read the list I created without offering any sort of insight or professional feedback. Maybe I was expecting a different experience, but I would rather be neck deep in self help books then waste money with someone confirming what I already know. I'm neither here nor there on her specifically as I have no other experience to compare it to. Insurance:CIGNA	3	2	3	2
15	1	I must admit my first visit I wasn't overly thrilled but, I now feel it was more me than Dr. Washington. I feel that with each appointment, the service has gotten better as she has helped me overcome a major hurdle in my life. Thus, I am glad I did not pass judgement based on my first appointment. I would highly recommend Dr. Washington.... Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	4	5	5	5
15	-1	My 45min session was more like 20mins, as she was late. She kept looking at the clock behind me, and recommended books that had nothing to with what I was feeling or going through. As much as I dislike writing this, I felt like it was a waste of my time. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	2	2	1	1
15	0	Dr Washington did take calls during session and closed off discussion of an area I felt was important to me. Recommended helpful books. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield 2	3	3
16	1	Dr. Wall and his staff are great team. He is knowledgeable, meticulous, and helped me with my allergies and asthma. I have been going to him about 5 years since I moved in the area. Once I got the flu he called me at home just to make sure if I need something to call his office. You can’t beat the location either it is so close to the metro rail. I recommend him to my friends, colleagues, and family who are suffering from allergies. Insurance:Aetna	5	5	5	5
16	1	Really excellent doctor in all ways--have been seeing him continually for both ENT and allergy issues since he entered the practice. Very knowledgeable, very serious and focused, VERY skilled. He worked on my ear drum and it was practically without discomfort and took care of the problem right away. He also does cosmetic surgery and I plan to consult him on that for elective procedures. Staff has always been very helpful and accommodating and when something urgent presented itself worked very hard to squeeze me in for an appointment very soon. Highly recommended. 16	1	excellent, thorough and caring; reviewed my prior medicals more thoroughly than my internist; treating for sinus infection; 4	4	5	5
16	1	Dr. Wall was excellent in every aspect. He did major nose surgery for sinus / deviated septum/ broken tip and then cosmetic to put it back together. It's never looked better and he came by and checked on me in the hospital several times and even called at night to make sure I was ok. I would recommend him to anyone. Insurance:Aetna 5	5	5
16	1	Dr. Wall is excellent - he is extremely knowledgable (also has a PhD), has a great bedside manner, and his staff is excellent, too. I highly recommend him! He has really helped my severe allergies. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield 5	5	5
17	-1	He is rude, not pleasant. He acted like it was an inconveince to him that we had our daughter there. I would not take my fish to him. If he is that miserable he needs to quit practice 1	2	1	3
17	-1	I would not recommend Dr. Weinstein. His attitude towards my child was not very kind or encouraging. I wonder why he got into pediatrics. Not recommended. 1	1	1	1
18	-1	This doctor over-medicates her patients on a regular basis. She does not check drug interactions when prescribing more than one medication, thus resulting in possible organ malfunction. I would not recommend her services to anyone. She also misinterperates lab reports on a constant basis. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	2	1	1	1

24	1	Gentle, knowledgeable, and extremely good about letting you know what to expect. I am very pleased with the dental expertise and the way in which my treatment plan was approached. I have recommended Dr. TANYA WILSON to friends, and they have been well pleased. 5	5	5	5
24	0	Dr. Wilson didn't do a great job filling some cavities that I had. Once, I had to come back another day after she tried, unsuccessfully, to form the bite of a filling for more than 15 minutes. I also experienced more soreness and sensitivity after fillings than I've ever experienced. Cleanings were fine, though she often has a hygienist do these for her. She didn't do a good job repairing a chip in one of my front teeth. She's a "good enough" kind of doctor and not enough of a perfectionist for me. I also found Dr. Wilson to be too chatty (concerning everyday topics) but not about dental health. Though she wasn't very forthright with information, she was happy to answer my questions. It was also pretty easy to get an appointment with her. Even so, I do not recommend her as a dentist and will not go to her again because of the low quality and high prices of her services. 26	-1	Showed up 1.5 hours late for first appointment and didn't cancel. She scheduled her own doctor appt and didn't think it would bother me to wait. Completely unhelpful and unprofessional. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	3	1	1	1
26	1	I have found Dr West the most helpful and compassionate psychiatrist and counselor I have ever had. She has helped pull me out of depression that was long and deep rooted. Yes, she starts late sometimes, but she is always apologetic and ALWAYS makes up for the time lost. I can't say enough good things about her. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	4	4	5	5
26	-1	In addition to not being punctual, Dr. West sometimes isn't there at all. For the three appointments Dr. West kept with me, she canceled 4 others on the day of the appointment. When I confronted her about this, she had no memory of this or notes about it. Additionally, she is not at all knowledgeable about my condition. When I asked about ways to address the second most common symptom, she asked, "oh, is that a problem with this condition?" After looking it up in the DSM, she suggested I find a self-help book in my local book store or take some herbal remedies. To top it all off, she doesn't remember who I am. Since I stop in infrequently for medication management, I don't expect to be best friends. However, she didn't read my file before our last visit. Nor did she return several phone calls. The straw that broke the camel's back, however, was when she mailed me someone else's insurance claim form, a significant breach of confidentiality. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	3	1	2	1
26	1	Dr. West is very much a love-her-or-hate-her sort of doctor. Yes, she's habitually late, but (as another reviewer noted) is generally happy to extent your session as long as necessary to make up for it. She's also very much intellectually and emotionally present during sessions - something that can be said for very, very few doctors and therapists in this area. Finally, she takes an extremely active role in her patients' medication management - another quality that's all-too-rare in this area. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	2	4	4
26	-1	Where to start! I saw Dr. West for two or three months before realizing she was causing more harm than good! She was late to every single appointment we had - but that wasn't even my biggest issue with her. Once she found out I worked for a city animal shelter, she insisted on spending our entire sessions berating me for the fact that the shelter I worked for 'killed' cats. She divulged to me how many cats she had in her household - a number so high it was shocking - and actually illegal! Whenever I read about a cat hoarder being raided in the area, I ALWAYS wonder if it is her. On top of this, she made me feel absolutely horrible for my line of work - the first job I'd ever had that truly made me happy! My last appointment with her ended with her actually yelling at me and questioning my morals - as well as the crazy idea that all we needed to do was call up Wayne Pacelle at HSUS and he'd just give us money so we could stop killing cats. I truly believe her license should be revoked. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	1	1	1	1
26	1	The best psychiatrist I've ever seen, and I've seen many. I never had a problem with her tardiness - it was never more than 15 minutes and she was always apologetic. I've struggled with finding the right med combo for years and she was finally able to get it right. She's a bit quirky but that's exactly what I love about her. I really felt comfortable and really enjoyed talking with her. She's never afraid to call you out on things and will really probe you in discussion forcing you to think about things you might otherwise dismiss. I can understand why some might not love her, but she was a great fit for me and I will really miss our sessions. I hope I can find someone similar in the city to which I recently moved. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	4	5	5
26	-1	45 minutes late, no apology. Rude. Puts you down. Think she doesn't like patients. Its about her, not you + your difficulties. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	1	1	1	2
26	-1	I tried 5 appointments with her, BC/BS l=has limited docs available. She is the worst I have seen. Late by at least 30 min,, no apology and regards being late as her right. Very rude and denigrating if you do not accept her sayso and values as correct. She will not accept your thoughts and ideas about your own problems as having ANY value whatsoever. Very unpleasant experience. Demands complete and abject following of her ideas about you. Do not even recommend in in an emergency. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	1	1	1	1
26	1	The only statement I agree with on all but one person's comments on Dr. West is that she is not always punctual. However - she always makes up the time with me and there is always a good reason why she is running late. I have been going to her for several years now and she has pulled me through the blackest depression one could ever want to be in, got me to stop drinking entirely, and believe in myself and in my worth. She literally saved my life. She is lovely, warm, congenial, sympathetic when needed, has good insight and impeccable credentials. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	3	5	5
26	1	Wow, I am shocked to see such bitter reviews of a doc who is really doing wonders for me. She is the best therapist/pysch I have ever seen! I do understand the comments about her tardiness. She was 30 mintues late for our first appointment; however, what was to be a 60 minute appt turned in to nearly two hours of conversation. I felt she was sincere and knew that I needed that extra time (and I REALLY did). I appreciated this, and I'm happy to sit in her waiting lounge a little bit knowing that others are getting the genuine care they need. As far as her clinical skills, I haven't found her to be judgmental as opposed to many of the other patients. Instead, I see Dr. West as direct and engaging when she feels that you may be breezing past something of significance. This is what therapy is about! Having sat in far too many doc offices regurgitating my days without so much as a challenge, this style is refreshing and theraputic for me. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	5	3	5	5
26	-1	I had one and only one appointment with Dr. West. She questioned my diagnosis, and then spent a lot of time discussing my childhood and whether I was angry with my mother. Actually, she insisted I was angry at my mother, because my mother had a difficult life. (Not me, my mother.) When I told her I couldn't remember things she was asking about my childhood, she told me that smart people usually remember things. Insurance:Blue Cross / Blue Shield	1	1	1	1
26	-1	My 1st/last appoint. w/ Adele West (2/08) was the most frustrating, infuriating, & disrespectful experience I've ever had w/ a doctor. She was 40 min. late w/ no receptionist, call, or note to let me know. She barely acknowledged her error, flippantly said she is always late & proceeded to argue with me when I suggested she wasn't a good match for me. She said she could underline my appointments to TRY to be on time if it was that important to me (isn't it to all her patients?) but essentially blamed me & wanted me to dicuss why I was so angry about lateness. She accused me of pre-judging & calling her a heartless person, & continued to fight w/ & yell at me as I walked out the door. I was initially so pleased she both accepted BC/BS and was taking new patients. After 5 minutes I saw why her schedule is so open. I will report her to BC/BS and I wholeheartedly DO NOT RECOMMEND her to anyone, no matter what. I think she is potentially dangerous, esp. to those seeking mental health care! 26	-1	You may have a problem when you go to her, but it is her problems and opinions that tou have to hear about. 1	1	1	2
26	-1	This woman is the most controlling psych. I have ever encountered. She would accept noting I said as true and attribted everything that is wrong in my life to an abusive mother. She is completely geared to talking endlessly about one's childhood and would continue that endlessly while watching the rest of your life deteriorate. She is extremely judgemental, to the point of insisting that you bend and accept her code of morality (which is really skewed toward an upper class ruling elite attitude). 1	1	1	1
27	-1	He was the worst. Don't bother with this guy. He'll give you an opinion but doesn't check you out first. Needs to develop bedside manner to establish better rapport with his patients to make an accurate diagnosis. Has his mind made up before he sees you. He must have tenure or something? 1	1	1	1

29	-1	I called my pharmacy to see if my HTN prescription was ready and was informed that this doctor had to write a new prescription. I was on my way home from work and decided to call the doctor's office and asked for them to call in a refill as per the pharmacy's instructions. The doctor's staff said I had to come into the office. I explained that this is an inconvenience as I was just there last week. I eventually went to get the prescription, and when I arrived the office was already closed but the staff allowed me into the office. I had to pay another co-pay of $20.00 to see Dr. Wilkerson. He was annoyed and reprimanded me as if I were a child. He stated that I was inconveniencing him because I did not have an appointment. I was shocked at his remark and tried to explain, but he just grunted, wrote the prescription, and walked out of the office. I am disappointed and I will NEVER see him again. BEWARE!!!!!! 2	3	2	2

30	0	Had an appointment @ 10:30am and up to 11:45am I was still sitting in the waiting room. Patients who had later appointments such as 10:45 am & 11:00 were seen before me. Office staff need to be better organized and improve communication with patients. After waiting 1 hr 15 mins I requested my co-pay to be returned and cancelled the appointment. 32	0	I totally agree with other comment, she is rude and unprofessional, when for physical exam and she cut me off because "it's enough for today", as i know a doctor should answer all questions related to your health concern for physical check up. i asked if the symtom is normal, she said of course not but we will discuss about it more in the next appt. 32	-1	I am quite surprised to read the other comments here as this doctor has been very rude and completely unprofessional with me. I had been talking to her for about 3 minutes when I started to ask another question and she rudely cut me off saying that she needed to stop me because she had another patient waiting. She rushed me out of her office the same way when I went for my full physical. 32	1	Dr. Wheaton is a fabulous doctor. She is attentive and never makes you feel rushed or unimportant. Unfortunately, her staff is another story. They are rude and lazy. The couple of times Ive needed referrals or documents faxed to another office they've required persistent requests, which they did not take too well even though they were the ones slacking. A higher level of professionalism from her staff would makes this office a perfect place, but for now, Dr. Wheaton's professionalism and attentive nature will have to continue to make up for her inneficient and unprofessional staff.
