Test-ignorSouthern Journal of Forensics Sub Info
The inaugural issue of the Southern Journal of Forensics has been mailed out!!!
This is not a "cheesy" photocopied, folded over and stapled effort, but a full
blown, refereed, professionally printed and bound publication that is
comparable to the CEDA Yearbook, Communication Monographs, or the QJS.
Articles include the works of C.B. Crawford of Fort Hays State (Judging
Paradigms), David Berube, University of South Carolina (Kritiks), John J.
Miller, Middle Tennessee State (Audience Centered Debate) and Michael W.
Shelton, University of Kentucky (Competitive Storytelling) and our Forum on
Judging Time/Space Cases in Parli (David Williams & David Worth, Texas Tech,
Alan Cirlin, St. Mary's, Steve Johnson, Alaska, Robert Trapp, Willamette).
Volume 1, No 2 (Summer) is going out this week. Articles focus on Tournament
Invitations and Compliance with Ethical Standards (Simerly and Frappier),
Tension and Hostility (Biles), Recruitment on Campus (Cates and Eaves), Ethics
in Tournament Administration (Snider). Our forum deals with Topical
Counterplans and offers insight and advice from Walker, Berube, Broda-Baum,
Crenshaw, Hobbs and Wilkins, West, Fritch and Magee.
IF YOU PLAN TO SUBSCRIBE, PLEASE DON'T DELAY!!! There are still a few copies of
Numbers 1 & 2 available. We only print enough copies to cover subscription
numbers plus a SMALL overrun. If you want a complete set, the time to act is
now.
If you are a Director of Forensics or Faculty Member and wish to subscribe, but
need additional time to make purchasing arrangements and do not want to miss an
issue, you may e-mail your intent to subscribe to me and I will bill you.
