Counterplan competition has come a long way since you left to do that
philosophy stuff. Anyone running your suggested counterplan better
have some incredible ev on the need for total and absolute bans to
run against the inevitable permutations. Not to mention the potential
disads to total and absolute bans on info tech.
My greatest concern with all of the proposed topics is that many
people will just boil each debate to nanotech and A-life. Now where
are those galactic contam good turns...
