Points debate
Personally, if we are arguing this from a maximization of educational
experience continuum,. I prefer for my students to get the "point miser." This
forces them to analyze, to think, to adapt to the "miser's" likes and
dislikes. If one of my teams can win a round AND get high points from this
type of critic, they have learned a great deal. Some bosses, judges,
supervisors, etc., etc., are harder to work for than others. Life is
subjective. Learn to deal with it and adapt now. Your odds of changing the
whole world to suit your view are probably not good.
