Military in da Spring


The military topic area rocks!  That's what most teams will debate anyway.
Look at the DAs on this topic:  Iso, Heg, various trade-off DAs w/
military impacts (i.e. China), etc.  It's about time we have a topic
that promotes deep debate of military issues, instead of the superficial
level prevalent now.  Many of you out there may be saying "yeah, man, but
we just had the intervention topic fairly recently."  Sure, but 
remember the very non-military interpretations of intervention that eventually
became widely accepted, i.e. humanitarian assistance using troops to dole
out everything from condoms to food.  Additionally, that resolution had
"the promotion of democracy" aspect which caused many, many debates to
shy away from the military aspects and focus on whether or not democracy
was a legit goal.

If ANYBODY wants to debate social services-like the welfare topic wasn't 
bad enough-remember there are ALWAYS Israel and Russia links :)
