WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

When I've stated before that current coaches and competitors do not "OWN"
this activity and that we are merely custodians to insure its survival
and spread to as many schools as possible, this is what I meant. While
we read some evidence, they didn't really care if the Harrison '95 card
was from last week or if the FIAT abuse claim would've been justified.
They wanted to see American Debate, UNDERSTAND American debate and
appreciate what it offers. We did not lie. They were told that most
debate rounds take place at rates upwords of 250 words a minute to allow
maximum use of the extensive research and topic analysis of the
competitors. But we went SLOW, explained the roles of speeches and
SHARED what makes debate and speech special with them.

If you don't recognize why, in the long-term, that's the most important
part of what we do, then your hard work, great research, weekend after
weekend of travel and lots of school dollars are being wasted. It's that
simple.

Thanks for reading.

Peace & Justice,

Will

VOTE FOR INFO-TECH!! It opens markets and funding to CEDA that mean more
to the long term vision than ten wonderful TRADE debates on Mexico. WB
