Sexist changes

It seems that very few debaters are actually concerned about offending
anyone else with the sexist slant in their cards. Rather, the fear of having
to face a sexist critique is the driving force. I would think that the
sexist critique is not the one critique out there that no-one can respond to.

If we are really concerned about the harmful results of sexist language in a
debate round, then everyone should make all cards gender-neutral and there
should be no sexist critiques.

It would be nice if there was a mechanism for checking the meaning-retention
qualities of changing evidence. However, no such mechanism exists, allowing
debaters to change meaning whenever possible.

Why dont we just change all references to people to read as "animals," so
then we can avoid sexist and anthro critiques? Or, maybe I should say, so we
can avoid the "desensitizing of collegiate debate towards gender issues and
animal rights."
