Too many Todds -- A word from the Owner

As a recent message from Todd Wachtel points out we are at the stage of
potential confusion over too many Todds as well as other duplicated first
names.
I like the informality that has been present on the list (with many people
giving only a first name, and often not even highlighting what school they
are from), but I am afraid that this problem will continue to get worse as
more people start joining the list. (Already we have at least two Adams,
two Todds, a Mike and a Michael, and probably some that I haven't caught.
Further, this will become even worse after Tuna passes word of this list
around at SCA.)
As a solution, I suggest that the first time you mention a person in a
message you use their first and last name. After that (if you are
referring to only one Todd for example) you can continue to use first
names. (BUT, this will require that subsequent responders to a message
make sure that they keep track of who the first name is and do not lose
that in their messages.)
Thanks,

p.s. before anyone catches that my "signature" isn't complete, note that the
header gives you my last name. :-)
