counterplans in ceda
i must say that i do not advocate the neg running counterplans because the links
to the aff plans must be so clear and sometimes are very hard to establish. by
the neg running a counterplan you play right into the hands of the aff postion.
i feel the best postion that the neg team can take when the aff runs a plan is
to attack the plan directly. show how the plan is not neccessary, or how it
does not solve the problem presented by the res. and all that other fine policy
stuff. i feel all the neg counterplan does is cloud the round even more and
play's right into the hands of the aff. who knows it will be interesting to seewhat happens! the neg however is clearly justifed in arguing a counterplan.
the aff grants the neg that right as soon as they run a plan. that's just my
opinion on this plan counterplan discussion. i do not advocate either one of
them.
