For Friends of Scott Pejaver

I have some very sad news to report.....

Scott Pejaver, MTSU debater, died on Memorial Day at his home in Memphis.
The causes are as of yet unknown, but the cause is believed to be a heart
irregularity that was was not known to exist.

A visitation is scheduled for 6-9 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home in
Memphis on Thursday. The funeral services will be at the Catholic Church
of the Ascention in Memphis on Friday morning at 11:00 am.

Those wishing to send flowers may do so to the funeral home, church or his
mother's home in Memphis (listed Linda Pejaver on Trufant Avenue). A
memorial debate fund is being established at MTSU and donations may be
made out to "Scott Pejaver Memorial Fund -- MTSU Foundation" and sent or
given to me at MTSU, Box 43, Murfreesboro, TN. 37132.

Scott had justed turned 21 less than two weeks ago. He would have been a
senior at MTSU but planned to do another year at MTSU after this coming
year so he could do more theatre work and prepare for theatre grad school
and a possible professional acting career. He was President of the
Intercollegiate Debate Association at MTSU. He had the most popular radio
show on campus. He was an excellent student and last spring had a 4.0
gpa. He cared about every member of our squad. He was loved by every
member of our squad. I think he was an excellent debater -- he won lots
of awards in the region and out of the region. He won Junior PKD
Nationals at LSU-S, He won University of Miami JV in 1996, PKD
BiRegionals in 96, lots of team and speaker awards at tournaments
throughout.....He coached novices; he helped colleagues; he was the heart
and soul of our squad and we will be nothing without him; he so looked
forward to going to a workshop this summer and making a try for national
level competition.....

If you were a friend of Scott and can do nothing else -- please send a
note to his mom -- Linda Pejaver on Trufant Avenue in Memphis.....I will
post the address in the morning.........
