Re: The End of CEDA-L and NDT-L

Hello all,

I am proud that the University of Vermont will be able to host the new
listserv system for the team topic debate community in America. It has a
lot more to do with the helpfulness of our computing program here than with
me. I'm just the contact person.

I am glad that Jamey Dumas will continue to serve as the list owner for the
new list system. He has shown himself to be trustworthy and skillful, as
well as very respectful of creating an open and free communication space.
Jamey Dumas founded CEDA-L and I was the first person to subscribe to it.
Actually, I even subscribed before Jamey. I am glad that he and I can work
together on this.

I will do my best to stay out of the affairs of eDebate (the new general
listserv) and aDebate (the new announcement list) and leave them to Jamey.

I also want to thank Doyle Srader for all of his hard work on NDT-L.

I strongly believe that our ability to learn about each other by being on
both listservs had a lot to do with the way NDT & CEDA have come together.
Now that we are together it seems to make sense to have one listserv.

After the comment period there will be more news.

Long live debate!
