CEDA SUMMER CONFERENCE (housing changes)

We are financially unable to reserve the necessary rooms at the Lisle
Hilton. Thus, we have several other hotels now available. Pleasse use them,
not the Lisle Hilton.

Try and stay at the Holiday Inn or Four Seasons. If not, try the other
nearby hotels listed.

IMPORTANT: TRANSPORTATION

We will be able to provide transportation between the two lead hotels and
the Wheaton campus, where all of the sessions will be, but you need to let
us know of your transportation needs in advance. If you are driving and
would be willing to help transport people, please let me know. If needs be
I will rent a car on my own and shuttle people around (with a smile).

IMPORTANT: MEAL

We will be having a catered meal on the Wheaton campus.  If you have
special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, fruitarian, etc.), please let me
know as soon as you can.

MAKING THE VISION REAL
CEDA Summer Meeting and Planning Session

OPEN TO ALL

Meeting Objectives:

1)  Make plans for a Development Conference (World Debate Summit) for
Summer 1998. A major event hopefully reaching out to many parts of the
forensic community.

2)  Have working sessions for Issue Committees. Identify on-going and new
issues for our community, and moving towards action steps on those issues.

DATE:    -- June 20-22 (Friday-Sunday), 1997

LOCATION:  Wheaton College, Illinois.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND SUMMER MEETING:
All interested persons (coaches, students, directors) in the Debate
Community -- CEDA, ADA, NDT, NDA, NFL, AFA, etc.

REGISTRATION FEE:   $25 (to cover Friday meal and Sunday continental
breakfast)

                    Noon-2 p.m.  Registration at Holiday Inn of Glen Ellyn Lobby
                    3:00 p.m.   Welcome

                    3:15 - 5:00 p.m.    Brainstorming Session on Plans for
Development Conference 1998
                        Form Planning Committee for 1998 Conference
                    5:30 - 6:30 p.m.     Dinner at Wheaton College
                    7:30 - 10:00 p.m.   Private reception hosted by CEDA

            9:00 a.m. - Noon    CEDA Executive Council (all welcome)
                    Noon - 1:00 p.m.    Lunch on your own
            1:00 - 5:00 p.m.      All Committee Meetings -- come join a
committee!
