As chair of CEDA's Professionalism Committee, I am trying to 
accomplish many goals one of which is to validate reasons schools are 
selecting not to debate.  I am willing to canvass former members, 
former coaches for that information.

However, I need hypotheses to test.  Since I am not the fountain of 
all knowledge (appearances to the contrary), I would appreciate 
e-mail hypotheses.  We can abduce a series of questions and try to 
get some usable information.

ALSO I am searching for someone who is willing to design a survey to 
solicit opinion at the national tournaments regarding willingess of 
graduating debaters to contribute to their undergraduate institutions 
as alumni.
