OK...I will admit that KU has quite a team returning...but 1998 NCAA Champs???
What about Arizona to repeat? Or even more likely...what about those WILDCATS
from KENTUCKY! "Tubby" Smith, and a very seasoned, deep team. I will admit
that the loss of Mercer, Anderson and Prickett will not be good, but UK is just
ALWAYS soooo tough. "Tubby" Smith will most likely continue to run a "Pitino"
style defense, and those CATS have plenty of players who have been to the final
two years in a row. KU is a choke team. I predict that they will go down in
flames in the sweet 16 yet again. Look for UK to be in the Final Four, and
quite possibly cutting down the nets after te last buzzer sounds next year.
In any case, WHEN UK hangs up another banner in Rupp Arena, the shots of
Makers will be on me...C'ya at Two Keys tavern in Lexington in March of '98.
