Clutch City will win again!

I've decided to join the fray because too many people are still
living in a deluded universe. Yeah, the Bulls are good, but the
Rockets will reign as Champs again. Mark my words.

Congratulations, Josh. So your argument is that whoever has the most
rings wins??? Well then, I guess Red Auerbach will be lighting up
another victory cigar cause the Celtics have the most rings ever.
Yeah right. After this June, every member of the Rockets will have
at least one too.

Hakeem's advantage over Luck and the Chief will be at least as great
as MJ's. Dream knows when to score and take over a game (so does
#23) and he also knows when to kick it out to the Rocket's wide-open
perimeter bombers. If you have any doubts that they can can the
treys, just look at the numbers from the Minnesota series. And,
Olajuwan clogs up the paint like nobody has since Bill Russell. NOT
EVEN CLOSE - ROCKETS.

Pippen is an All-Star but overrated nonetheless. No way he can stop
the Chuck wagon in the low post (this is where Barkley's weight
advantage comes in big). Rodman is likely to do more damage to the
Bulls and himself than the Rockets. And Kukoc is hurt and sure as
hell can never guard Barkley. Also, in cae you forgot, the Rockets
have a pretty good backu-up center/forward in Kevin Willis. He has a
virtually unstoppable hook and has been known to clean-up on the
boards. EDGE - ROCKETS.

I'll concede that Jordan is the man and has a big advantage over
anyone. However, the most underrated player in the NBA, Mario Elie,
is an amazing defender and can help contain either Pippen or MJ. The
Rockets can use him along with Drexler to make Air Jordan work for
all of his points. If the Rockets can contain Pippen, it doesn't
matter what Jordan does. And don't discount Clyde's chances to get a
triple double. Harper is lame and Brown worse. Sure Kerr is an
outside threat, but he plays no defense and Maloney is just as deadly
from long range. Plus, the Rockets have this other dinosaur, Eddie
Johnson who is a sharpshooter and Sedale Threat coming off the bench.
ADVANTAGE BULLS (because of Jordan), but not as big as you may think.

Elie will take Pippen out of the game. Rodman only scores on a
pitiful few tip-ins anyway, so no problemo. And Barkley isn't all
that bad when the game's on the line. And don't forget about 7
footer Kevin Willis. Not a problem.

Irrelevant. Jordan can have all his points. Nobody else will get
theirs. You also give Drexler way too little credit. He could
probably still run a close second to Michael Johnson in the 200. He
also gets a few steals, rebounds, and assists, and few are more
dangerous on the fast break. Elie can help out too.

> Rodman and Jordan are old but work out every day and all off season while

Yeah, Rodman works on his bikini wax and Jordan blows millions on
gold. I'll agree that injuries could kill the Rockets, but Chicago
is just as prone to succumbing to hurt. Kukoc is playing hurt as I
recall, and even MJ sprained his ankle at the end of the season. And
the Worm has a brace in addition to the garter belt around his knee.
Plus the Rockets will have no problem with the winner of the Jeckel
and Hide Suns-Sonics series and have always tooled the Jazz in the
playoffs. No advantage.

> Personally I think Utah makes the finals for a number of reasons (better team
> D, as much scoring, better conditioning, better gaurds, team on a mission etc.)
Let's see that better team D on Olajuwan. When's the last time the
Jazz have beaten the Rockets in the playoffs? Probably the last
time the Clippers won it all. Lest you forget, the Mailman and
Stockton are also getting social security. And you think the Rockets
(and Barkley with no ring) aren't on a mission? Get real. Rudy T
can motivate like no one else can. No disrespect to the MVP, Karl
Malone, or Stockton, or even Jerry Sloan (great coach), but the
Rockets will leave the Jazz singing the blues.

> ...I think the Bulls match up better against the Rockets so I hope you are
> right...
Whatever. I'll let you hold this delusion. It doesn't matter
because the Rockets will represent the West.

ROCKETS IN SIX. THE DREAM WILL BE FINALS MVP. Rodman
can spend the offseason in the Victoria's Secret dressing room,
Pippen will be sent packing, MJ will think about that baseball career
again, and Phil Jackson will be on a plane out of O' Hare. And
finally, the Chief will hang it up.
