Re: Bulls vs. Rockets and Hoes delusions
Congratulations Josh, you successfully predicted the Bulls will win the
East. Did you have to crunch a lot of numbers to figure that out? I suppose
I should expect nothing less from a person who played hoop right next to the
court Wayman Tisdales brother once played on. However, blasphemy upon the
Rockets cannot be tolerated.
>Fine Rockets backers......Never underestimate the Heart of a champion.....
>Count the rings......Cant use those slogans in a Bulls/Rockets series
>because every member of the Bulls but one has at least one ring (some have
>four) and four championships trumps two......
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, blah, blah, blah. All of that is irrelevant in a Bulls
Rockets matchup. The only two teams to win rings in the 90's. 7 games for
all the marbles.

You only give an edge to the Rockets? How about game set match Rockets.
MUCH better centers have tried and failed (Robinson 94 series, Shaq 95
series, Kareem 86 series, need I go on.)
The Rockets perimeter is en fuego so no more collapsing on Hakeem. Of course
the Bulls are known for that illegal d. Bottom Line, Hakeem, like Jordan
will get his. Fortunately we have a slight answer for Jordan where the Bulls
have NO answer for Hakeem.

Worst case Barkley gets 20 and 10? Were you born on the sun Josh? He
averaged 23.2 and 13.2 during the regular season and in the post season is
averaging 18.3 and 10.7 coming off an injury. Sounds to me like worst case
scenario is about 30 points and 16-17 boards. You want to talk assists:
Barkely-over 4. Olajuwon 3.7, Drexler 8+ and Maloney and Elie add almost 4
each. If you doubt Elies abilities you know less about defense than I
thought. The bull have nobody...absolutely nobody.. coming off their bench
as strong as Kevin Willis who averages like 8 rebounds in only 20 minutes a
night. Bullard can also come in and provide rebounding as well as a huge
outside threat. Bottom line the Rockets front line is much more dangerous,
even if Pippen comes to play.
>Supposed problem #3 Maloney/Drexler
>It is to Laugh.....I would put Jordan up against the two of them and still
>win but lets not forget Harper,Brown (who will lock down Maloney for sure),
> Kerr etc......We kill you at the gaurd slot....KILL YOU!!!! BIG EDGE BULLS!
Granted, you have the best player in the universe. However, one of the few
guards in NBA lore who has shown ability to consistently contain Jordan is
Drexler. Hes averaging over 18 a game, pulls down 6+ boards and averages
over 2 steals a game. I am not that worried about the 2 guard slot. And if
you believe Maloney has no game you have not been watching the NBA. Maloney
has been a solid rookie who put up veteran like numbers. He has started
every game for a championship caliber club. Harper is mediocre at best.
>O.K. your problems

>Problem #1 No "D" at power forward

>Barkley was ranked by ESPN as the WORST DEFENDER IN THE NBA this fall. Lets
>see match that against Pippen (six time all-defense) and Rodman (former
>defensive player of the year and only forward ever to shut Shaq down).
Former Defensive Player of the year? Well, Hakeem has two of those trophies
on the mantle from 93 and 94. And the year Rodman won it was a travesty.
Hakeem had 200 more Rebounds and like 100 more blocks. The lead story on
ESPN that night was how such a terrible injustice could occure.
As far as Barkley goes, refer to above post and also remember he gets at
least one steal a game and can hit the three.
>Problem #2 No "D" at Gaurd

>Who the hell holds Jodan??????? Drexler?????? Come on Puhleassssse!!!!
>Drexler (not even in top ten at his position on defense and now with
>question marks for knees).....Oh by the way Drexler gets PLAYED by eight

Once again, Jordan will get his. I know this. Drexler will score as well.
Maloney will be the deciding factor. And Randy Livingston (#1 recruit out of
high school, over Stephon Phenom). Also veteran swingman Eddie Johnson and
the grizzled Sidell Threatt, who can pop the trey.
>Problem #3 Injuries

>If you believe the Rockets go six or seven against Seattle/Phoenix and

>Rodman and Jordan are old but work out every day and all off season while
>Barkley works out his mouth and bad golf swing.......
Did you notice that the Rockets sat the big 3 for the last quarter of the
season. I guess not.
>Personally I think Utah makes the finals for a number of reasons (better team
>D, as much scoring, better conditioning, better gaurds, team on a mission etc.)

Houston has a history of handling up on Utah in the playoffs and the age old
question will still plague the mighty Jazz. How do we handle The Dream.
never underestimate the heart of a champion...
>You will notice I talk very little noise about the dream (he is the best).
As I dont talk smack on Jordan.
Glen
