- From: yurii find all this dialogue about not criticizing others until our own houseis in order o.k., but maybe program directors should think about the studentsfirst, instead of their own impressions of what debate should be. seems to methat slow persuasive debate happens in CEDA. i spend a few years at regionaltournaments in texas and louisiana and i promise it was all about persuasion.the amount of learning is not the same. i speak from experience.

and i have found many do it for their own sense of posterity in the activity,
rather than what the students want, or what the student would benefit more
from. i don't know all the neda people. and don't take this as a sweeping
indictment. but if we see something we feel is "not as beneficial" for the
students, then we should talk about it.
