A REMINDER FROM THE OWNER

You have two choices for how to suspend your account: postpone it or
unsubscribe. To postpone it send the following message to
LISTPROC@CORNELL.EDU

     Set CEDA-L Mail Postpone

When you want to start receiving mail again (you will not get messages
sent while you were postponed) send:

     Set CEDA-L Mail NOACK

(As explained in the previous message today, you can also choose DIGEST
or ACK.)

The second choice is to unsubscribe, which is easily accomplished by
sending this message to LISTPROC@CORNELL.EDU

     Unsub CEDA-L

NOTE: You do NOT include your name with an unsubscribe command.

The second problem many people are having this time of year is that the
LISTPROC computer does not "recognize" them as being subscribed even
though they are receiving mail. The reason for this is that their
addresses have changed slightly (as viewed by other computers) since they
subscribed. The computers on their end recognize the two versions as the
same, so mail gets tru. BUT, LISTPROC isn't able to tell the difference
between the same account with two slightly different versions, and two
different people with nearly identical addresses.

To fix the second problem you need to contact me. I'll be checking my
mail (dumas@gonzaga.edu) all summer on a regular basis, even though I'll
be spending the next several weeks in Ithaca (trying to collect some old
debts from Michael K).

Thanks,
