- From: yuri <YURI@siucvmb.siu.edu>yurii have a question about all this solvency problem stuff. what if i have anauthor who writes contextually about doing plan A. this author gives very detailed descriptions of the reasons why plan would work. BUT during theprocess of futher research i find that there is one big disadvantage thatmy author did not see, but that could be corrected with a minor adjustmentto the plan. So i change the plan from plan A to plan B, which is the oldother aspects, i.e. procedurally, fiat,..you know. Yet I have no author thatsays the whole thing, as it is revised, would solve my problem, and so i lose? why can't debaters be allowed to offer their interpretations and defendthem. nobody is going to vote for steve donald because he's an expert on mexico, but the point is that it is the other teams job to show that theywin because they pick the case apart. otherwise the negative can stand up andxy thingy. associating x & y as xy could be a fallacy. but it also couldbe correct. that is why it is the debaters who should have to say more thanjust "YOU DON'T HAEFELE A SINGLE ALL ENCOMPASSING AUTHOR, YOU LOSE." seems the problem was "yuri is a problem on ceda-l" and the plan was "yuri willunsubscribe to ceda-l" why do i need a card that says "yuri will unsubscribefrom ceda-l"???? there is no joy in mudville tonight...the mighty rockets have fallen...yuri

DID YOU WATCH AS JORDAN CHOKED IN GAME 6 AGAINST ORLANDO LAST YEAR. Yes indeed he did choke. he got the ball stolenthree rings & MVPs, not the lowly clevelanders. AND, as for the oftmentioned 63 point night against the Celtics, jordan missed the last shotof the game from 15 feet. BULLS LOST. that makes those 63 meaningless. jordan is great, but he is NOT invincible. maybe those of you who are tooyoung to remember when oakley was a bull, cartwright was a knick, wenningtonat st johns with chris mullin, james edwards and RODMAN at detroit(who hatedchicago)...think that jordan is noncumus choke-us(without choke), but

- Wilt and the greatest of all-time This is to try and tie several threads together so max won't freak outwhen i write 10 bball posts. terry west asked me to give some data to myclaim that WILT wasn't even the greatest CENTER of all-time, much less thegreatest player of all-time, which was glen stricklands statement. here goes: i think i should handle this in two parts- part one being why wilt isnot the greatest CENTER and part two to reveal to you all who the greatestof all time is. (1) Hakeem Olajuwon is the greatest of all-time(in a comparison between he and wilt; Kareem supporters i can handle on backchannels)! since several of you are probably howling already here are some stats
