On the other hand, I think starting August 15 will
never get the NDT community's support since they (and,
frankly, I would like ittoo) want students to have the
opportunity during the summer with institutes to
work on the topic (especially since it would not conflict with
their school work).  As such, I would suggest a season that
would begin with an August 1 topic announcement and a
termination of the season near the end of February/early March.
The rest of the proposal is sound--choosing topics, having two
national tournaments, etc.  Let's bring ourselves together--not
split up.
My response is
OK. It makes sense much better o...for studenst to be able to research during
the time when they aren't in school. Consider my proposal to m....be amended
to Topic announcement on Aug. 1 and the USCDA National Invitational tournamnet
to be help....heol....sorry I mean held on approx. Mar. 15 two weeks after
the USCDA National Open tournament the first weekent....weekend in March.
