Re: New journal
I do not lament the decline of forensics scholarship. I think what we
have now is as good as we have ever had (whatever that might say good or
evil) What I do say is that current journals are trying hard to get good
forensics scholarship The Forensic, CEDA Yearbook, NFA Journal , Register
etc. There are calls for theme issues. Editors do invite papers. There is
an effort to have forensics forums on issues like permutations in
counterplans, critiques, generic argumentation, etc.
Still, we do not have authors rising in mass to the bait and producing
lots of wonderful papers, forum opinions, or scholarly reviews of books,
videos, or software. Until that happens, I see little or no need for a
new journal. The desire or want for a new journal may be there despite no
need, but I think it would dilute the pool of available material.
Also where are the reviewers/critics/ associate editors with lots of
experience, background, and critical sensitivity to help on this journal?
If they exist why haven't they volunteered their services to current
journals?
