   Making money has never been an issue in these posts (at least that
I'm aware of).  If you're only in it to raise money, then your best 
answer might be to simply say "no".  
   I agree with a lot of what Bear wrote, as I backchanneled him. My main
problem has been with lumping a group of people into a category and then 
insulting the entire category.  I can just imagine what would be said if
someone got on the listserve and said "Oh, a bunch of women do X, and we 
all know they're a bunch of idiots." I've got to admit that I'm a little 
surprised at the reaction to these posts.  I wasn't aware that saying maybe 
we shouldn't go around insulting people was such a novel concept.
