Re: Lexis-Nexis Universe

I emailed Carol Johnson who directs the Lexis educational program and she
indicated changes are ahead that will actually make a "version" of Lexis
more affordable and will be open to more (if not all) colleges.
Supposedly letters about this new program are in the mail. I guess we
have to wait and see. I tried to call her about it last week to get
details but was unable to make connections. We will have to wait and see
what Lexis offers -- I suspect.

I don't think that the name calling and yelling and screaming that some of
our other colleagues have done about this issue is appropriate and
certainly is not the professional way to deal with the inequities in
access. Let us at least wait and see what there is to offer.
