 4. What's so wrong with the members deciding the format of CEDA Nats?

<<<Nothing. I have many changes in mind, some of which might be unpopular.
However, I will abide by the input of the community. Too bad nobody thought
about it until the invitations were already out. I look forward to a much
longer multilogue with the debate community about Nationals 1998. I am trying
to learn as I go and look at things a bit more long term ... planning ahead.
I urge others in the debate community to also do that.

>>>Tuna, You seem to be saying that a mistake was made. Too bad our
leadership couldn't "think" to ask for more input before the invites were
sent out. Forgive me for being upset that such a little consideration as
"format" was overlooked. Given the "human" nature of our leadership, I
suggest we reduce their burden of input by removing the President's
discretion to avoid such issues by not bringing them up. I think you need to
conduct the tournament the way we (CEDA dues payers) tell you to.

PS: Do you remember the shortwave radio that hit me in the head after
something "unseen" hurled it from the bookcase? Maybe we can submit an
X-files script to Broda-Bam?
