Initially, I guess that I must admit to going a tad bit overboard on
my last post. I think though, that a couple of my assessments were
accurate, those being the ones in regard to my friend and yours, MJ.
The Bulls will win another championship next year because West will be
lynched, tarred and feathered, and have his head put on a pike if he
lets Jordan go. As to the Celtics arguement, I guess I'll concede that
there is a chance that they were as good if not better than the Buls are
today, but only because I wasn't alive yet and my knowledge of them past
old NBA Championship Highlights with Dan Patrick is limited. I will say
that in a utopian game of the Bulls of '95-96 v. the Celtics whenever
they were at their best, the Bulls would win. The simple fact being
that the athletic ability of players today, even if some of them are
only in their teens, is superior to that of the past. There might be an
arguement to the mental determination of the Celtics being stronger but
after this series, particularly games 1 and 2 when Pippen played on an
injured Foot, and game 4 when Jordan was suffering the flu, it is clear
the Bulls want it as much as ever.
I'm sure that everyone will write back with more thoughts on events
that ocurred generations ago that I didn't think of, no offense to a
great coach but dp is an expert at this, but it seems that the Bulls are
a good team and that's the point I'm trying to get across. Many doubted
them in early musings, but they again prevaled. The Once and Future
Kings should be commended on their efforts, technicalities aside.

***Since basketball is over now, can we move on to baseball, I tend to
be a little more knowledgeable in that field. And, if not anything
else, we should be able to agree that the regular season is about as
monotonous as it gets.
