I've been reading alot of people advocating alternative Aff agents, like
Japan or ASEAN. While I Japan, China, or Australia would seem like
interesting agents, I caution againsts the use of ASEAN. The last time I
checked, ASEAN has a _NON-ENGAGEMENT_ policy. This policy was recently
debated when Burma joined, but as far as I can tell, there is still more
than enough resistence from changing ASEAN's policy. This would mean that
possible Aff's would be severly restrained by what the ASEAN can do.
