NDI Faculty



The first wave of NDI faculty hiring has taken place. Others will be added
if numbers go up. It was very difficult this year, with over 50 people
applying for a faculty position, and almost all of them excellent coaching
talents.

In no particular order:

Jamey Dumas, Gonzaga (semis at CEDA Nats 2 years in a row)
Jan Hovden, Vermont (5th place at 1994 CEDA Nats)
Mike Bryant, Weber State (he'll shake up your world)
Paul Hayes, Michigan State (team in finals at CEDA Nats this year)
Tracy Gonos, Univ. of Michigan (top seed at CEDA Nats senior year)
J. Connell, William & Mary Law (fortmer top speaker at CEDA Nats)
John Meany, Claremont Colleges (argument innovator)
David Berube, South Carolina (most published living debate theorist)
Steve Woods, William Jewell (coached CEDA Nats champs & top speakers)
Eric Morris, SMS (coached 1995 Jesuit winner)
Cleopatra Jones, Vermont-Chico State (Debater of the Year in East 1996-97)
Pat Gehrke, Chico state-Penn State (he shook up debate like no one else)
Gina Ercolini, Chico State-Penn State (grand mistress of critical
deconstruction)
Jethro Hayman, Vermont-Chico State (3rd at 96 CEDA Nationals)
Gordie Miller, Vermont-Rochester (don't make him vote for the man)
