Tony:

I am not part of this ssds movement but i need to respond to your 
posting.  You are right in your ignorance of atleast one of your 
statements.  NOT ALL SCHOOLS HAVE LEXIS or any access to it.  Don't make 
assumptions based on things you do not know and then claim everything 
should be fine!

Now believe me there are ways to make up for lack of lexis with a good 
newspaper and journal section as well as the internet.  But it is more 
difficult and time consuming.  So there can be legitimate claims that 
small schools have more time consuming research.  Just be careful what 
you assume and what you claim from your assumptions.
