News Flash - ASEAN Member States

At first, I was a big fan of using the phrase "ASEAN member states" in
the resolution to signify the big 10 countries.  However, reading this
article today made me glad that I'm not on the topic committee.

ASEAN Evacuating From Cambodia

                    PHNOM PENH, Cambodia (AP) -- Cambodia's
                    Southeast Asian neighbors began wide-scale
                    operations Wednesday to withdraw their citizens
                    from this embattled country.

                    By Wednesday, most member states of the
                    Association of Southeast Asian Nations had begun
                    pulling their citizens out, or were making plans to
                    do so. Conspicuously absent from the list was
                    Vietnam.

(and this is the important part)

                    Cambodia was scheduled to join ASEAN later this
                    month, but with its descent back into violence, the
                    organization has said it would have to review
                    Phnom Penh's application for membership.
