Re: enmu and sc rr (fwd)

I am one of the people on the ranking committee for the round robin and I
ranked ENMU pretty low (like around 22 or so, although I don't have the bid
sheets in front of me). The *REASON* I ranked them so low is because their bid
application was pathetic. It was like a 1 paragraph rambling that didn't

mention any of the individual debaters accomplishments in any detail whatsoever
(and we have come to find out that this application didn't even originate from
anybody at ENMU). I would have had a very difficult time ranking this team high
enough to get into the rr when their bid application was so terrible. In truth,
to rank them higher would have required me to insert my knowledge of their
ability and rank them over teams I didn't know (i.e. voting for my friends).
I like Jackie and the ENMU guys. I voted for them in the octo. But based on
their bid application they did not deserve a bid, period. I cannot understand
people who complain about the bids without seeing the applications.
