Debate Movie

Featured are many of the characters of recent debate history. SIU's Scott
Parsons, Mike Korcok, John Lapham, myself, and a rare appearance by Jeff
Bile. Also, many nomads of the activity: Emory's Jeff Smith and Judy
Butler, K-State's Mary Keehner and Steve Woods, Everystate's Al Madrid,
and even the inimitable Bill Boggs. Dallas Perkins shares ruminations on
flowing and the esteemed jurist Lawrence Tribe, and young Mr. West waxes
on about how the Earth will wither away in a few short years (back
in '89).

A host of National Champions are glimpsed: Dave Hanson's title-earning
2AR, Bill DeForeest's model of cross-examination composure, the rich
timbre of Top Speaker David Israelite's voice, Charlie Mallard's attempts
to carry partner Baby Duke, and the cerebral wanderings of "young" Korcok.

There is also the human interest angle (most find it unforgivingly
cheesy): getting to know Mr. West's family, and sensing the creation
of a debater. Perhaps inspiring for the young and weak-minded.

So, there it is. If you want a copy of Logos, backchannel me.
