RE: Don't Cut Unarchived Lists... (fwd)



1.  I suppose I would lend the same credibility
    to an internet-obtained, hardcopy-lacking
    warrant as I would to briefed analysis.

2.  Because debaters often do not identify the
     publication while reading the citation in a
     speech, I would not automatically know if
     "Blanston in '96" or even "Blanston, a
      population biologist, in '96" was really
     obtained from the internet.  The opposing
     debaters would have to identify it for me,
     unless it was a card I happened to call for
     (and I do that as little as I can get away with).
     So there still must be some level of self-policing
     regarding this matter.
