topics and cold feet
the first is rez #1 should be changed back to increase if the
constitution allows it. if it does not, then folks should live with it.
the possibility of a joint NDT-CEDA topic committee which wouldn't have
just thrown away the talents and skills of excellent framers was
available and ignored by both CEDA and the NDT.
the second is touchier. the deal was shared topics if it is policy.
cold feet, especially because of a difference of opinion about topic
breadth and directionality is pretty damned annoying. my guess is that
not a few CEDA programs decided to move release to August 15 because of
a fax. our constitution was amended.
the option of "well, we don't like that word, so we've changed our mind"
ticks me off and my guess is that it ticks off other folks too. folks,
there will be MANY things MUCH more serious in the next year or more
which will require persons and programs to accept things they don't
like, aren't used to, or are just annoyed by.
it seems to me the mindset needs to be something like "there's no going
back" for this year to have much chance.
respectfully,
michael korcok
